Sourced from the old world

Sichuan is like a time machine back into the ancient world to what China would have been like in it’s prime of cultural essence. Awe inspiring ancient temples artfully cradled into the well conserved natural landscapes.

We love lazy pandas

Sichuan bamboo forest is undertaking immense conservation efforts. It is not always guaranteed that a naturally grown bamboo forest can sustain a habitat for Pandas to thrive in since bamboo can only survive for 7 years. In saying this, the projects that are taking place at present are concerned with creating a dense enough forest for pandas which spend more than 12 hours a day eating bamboo shoots which they don’t like traveling far for. This provides them with shorter foraging distances.

Ecological awareness

In order to make the bamboo forests more dense, strategic segments are cut down, used for bamboo industry which makes more space for new shoots. So the question of cutting down bamboo forests which endanger pandas is the opposite in Sichuan which is why we support the region. The bamboo is cut at a certain height with the roots kept in tact which maintains the forest soil and useful in sustaining a robust ecological environment.
